A radio station based in Magara that was founded in order to promote social-economic development in urban and rural areas with programs focused on peace, health, community development, social advancement, human rights education, environmental campaigns, and poverty eradication.
The Radio Station "Radio Magara Times FM", also referred to as "Magara Times FM" or "RMT", also provides opportunities for local youths to get hands-on training in Journalism for free. Skills which will help in reducing unemployment in the rural areas and equipping the youths with career training that will enable them to be more employable.

Radio Magara Times FM: - On February 8, 2017, Magara Times FM is was authorized to operate in Burundi on as a Community Radio Station, henceforth known as "Radio Magara Times FM". - On December 7, 2017, the radio station "Radio Magara Times FM" was registered by API "Agence pour la Promotion de l'Investissement" and the by-laws of Magara Times FM Radio were approved by the API as well on the same day. - On December 8, 2017, the radio station "Radio Magara Times FM" was issued a Fiscal Registration Certificate "NIF" by the Burundian Tax Agence known as OBR "Office Burundais de Recettes". - On December 8, 2017, the radio station "Radio Magara Times FM" was issued a Business Licence known as "Registre de Commerce" by the Tribunal of Commerce in Bujumbura, Burundi. - On February 01, 2019, the radio station started its broadcasts on FM at 92.00 Mhz and online after acquiring a Frequency Certificate from ARCT. |
The Radio Magara Times FM is governed by the board of directors that report to the general assembly of the NGD Foundation, the supreme organ of the mother organisation. The Managing Director, who is answerable to the Board of Directors, oversees the day-to-day implementation of the Radio Station's programs.
